Savannah Backpack Mission Inc. is a non-profit organization founded in 2021 by me, Lilli Apt, to raise money for children attending local city summer camps. The funds are used to buy drawstring backpacks and water bottles.
98% of the children who attend these camps qualify for free school lunches. Many of the children come to these camps using a plastic shopping bag to hold their belongings and water bottles.
Last summer, 2025, we raised $11,520 and were able to distribute 500 backpacks and 750 water bottles.
We are hoping our sixth year will be just as successful. My brother, Will, will be by my side helping out.
